ER Solar worked directly with builder Melbcon to integrate a high-performance 40.92kW turnkey solar solution as part of the new construction of Edgars Creek Community Centre in Wollert, embedding sustainable energy generation from the outset of this modern community facility.
During the building phase, the system was meticulously planned and installed in coordination with the construction team, featuring a north-facing tilted array optimised for maximum solar exposure on the tin roof. This early integration allowed for seamless electrical connections, structural reinforcements, and precise panel layout to support the centre’s diverse energy needs—including lighting, heating/cooling, kitchen operations, audio-visual systems, and program spaces—serving the growing Whittlesea community in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.
Utilising premium Jinko Solar modules and reliable Fronius inverters, the installation transforms the community centre into a self-sufficient green hub, delivering significant operational savings, reduced carbon emissions, and a powerful example of environmentally responsible design for public facilities in Victoria.
