ER Solar partnered with Bayside Council to relocate and reinstall a 4kW solar system from the council depot to the Destructor Pavilion in Tjilatjirrin Reserve, Sandringham, as part of a major upgrade to this community sports facility serving local clubs like Sandringham Soccer Club and Sandringham JFC.
The project involved carefully collecting the existing panels and inverter, then expertly reinstalling them on the pavilion’s roof with new mounting, cabling, isolators, and switchgear to ensure optimal performance and compliance. This tailored approach offsets energy consumption for lighting, amenities, change rooms, and event spaces in the renovated pavilion, supporting Bayside’s sustainability initiatives in Melbourne’s bayside region.
By transforming the Destructor Pavilion—named after the site’s historical use as a municipal incinerator—into a greener venue, the installation reduces operational costs for council-managed facilities, cuts emissions, and promotes renewable energy use for community recreation and gatherings in Victoria.
