ER Solar collaborated closely with the construction team on this new-build redevelopment to deliver a robust 10.45kW turnkey solar solution for the Cliff Sambell Pavilion at Gerry Green Reserve in Parkdale, home to the Parkdale Footy Club and a key community sports venue in Melbourne’s bayside area.
As part of the pavilion’s upgrade along Nepean Highway, the system was integrated during construction with a comprehensive assessment of energy needs for clubrooms, change facilities, lighting, kiosks, and event spaces used by local football teams and gatherings. This strategic installation on the tin roof maximises solar generation while blending seamlessly with the modern design, providing clean power to offset grid usage in Victoria’s coastal climate.
The result turns the pavilion into a sustainable focal point for the reserve, cutting energy costs for Kingston City Council operations, reducing emissions, and supporting affordable, eco-friendly community sports in one of Melbourne’s vibrant suburbs.
