ER Solar collaborated with electrical contractor Pro Elec to deliver a 15.18kW turnkey solar solution as part of the refurbishment of Sandringham Library and Maternal & Child Health Centre, integrating renewable energy into this vital Bayside community hub to power library services, reading spaces, computers, meeting rooms, maternal health consultations, lighting, and air conditioning.
The renovation project provided the ideal opportunity to design and install a tailored rooftop system on the tin roof structure, with careful energy profiling to maximise on-site generation while minimising disruption to ongoing operations. Premium Jinko Solar modules and a robust Fronius inverter were selected for reliability and performance in the coastal marine environment, ensuring long-term efficiency and seamless architectural integration at this prominent Waltham Street location.
This sustainable upgrade transforms the library and MCH facility into an environmentally responsible public asset, substantially lowering electricity costs for Bayside City Council, reducing carbon emissions, and setting a positive example of green refurbishment for community buildings across Melbourne’s bayside region.
