ER Solar partnered with electrical contractor Msquared Electrical to deliver a substantial 200kW turnkey solar solution for Birranga College (formerly Clyde North Secondary School) in Clyde North, as part of the VSBA Bundle B 2025 new build project, transforming this modern educational facility into a sustainable learning center powering classrooms, specialist areas, admin buildings, lighting, HVAC, IT systems, and communal spaces for students in Melbourne’s booming south-eastern growth area.
Working hand-in-hand with Msquared Electrical and head contractor Hutchinson Builders during construction, we conducted thorough energy audits to customize the rooftop system for the school’s high-usage profile, utilizing premium Tier-1 Trina Solar modules and Sungrow inverters for superior efficiency and resilience in Victoria’s variable climate. The installation was seamlessly incorporated into the building design, maximizing solar yield while aligning with the Victorian School Building Authority’s commitment to eco-friendly public infrastructure.
This flagship project establishes Birranga College as a beacon of green education, yielding major cost reductions for the Department of Education, curbing emissions, and educating the next generation on renewable energy in one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing suburbs.
