ER Solar collaborated closely with electrical contractor Pro Elec. The system was specifically designed by the project architect as a key component of the building’s comprehensive sustainability management plan, ensuring seamless integration from the earliest planning stages.
From the outset, solar energy was prioritised in the development’s eco-friendly design, with projected energy demands analysed for common areas including lighting, lifts, ventilation systems, pumping, and shared facilities typical of multi-residential living in this dynamic inner-west Melbourne suburb. This forward-thinking approach allowed for optimal rooftop layout, panel orientation, and structural considerations to maximise solar yield while complying with green building standards and enhancing the property’s long-term environmental credentials.
The installation transforms the apartment complex into an energy-efficient residence, generating clean on-site power to offset grid consumption for residents and body corporate, delivering reduced strata fees, lower carbon emissions, and greater energy independence amid Victoria’s push for sustainable urban development.
